Luna & Ron // Curing the Budiger

Luna nodded, “I think it is the Budiger. It is this small bug that crawls into your ear when you have a troubled sleep. It eats at your brain which causes anger and headaches at some point.”

She reached into her bag and pulled out a small vile containing a light purple potion. “This should stop the headaches long enough, but this is a curious bug that doesn’t really go away until you reason with whatever it is making you mad about.”

“A what?” Ron was confused.  “You mean there is a bug inside my brain, ughs.”  The thought of having a creature inside Ron scared him.  He imagined it as a small spider for a moment and he freaked out a bit.  When Luna took out a small vile with purple liquid he immediately took it from her.  Ron drank the Potion rapidly hoping that the creature would leave him but then Luna mentioned it wouldn’t unless he reason with the problem that started it all.

“So you mean…” I have to talk to Harry.  Ron was not all for talking to Harry at the moment.  He was still upset that his own best friend kept a secret from him for too long.  But he did miss him, a lot actually.  He started to feel his headache go away and his anger was becoming more secure.  “Are there any side effects to the potion?”

Luna watched as Ron quickly drank the potion before she could explain anything. “It just makes you over react to anything people say or do for about 24 hours.” She said reaching over to take the vial back. “So interactions with other people might not be the best of ideas for now.”

Luna saw his dread when she said that he would have to work out problems. She knew that his mind would have jumped immediately to the fight that he had with Harry. “You don’t have to go straight to Harry to talk things over, you can try and think everything through right now. Then when you do go talk to him you will have a clear head.”

“Oh great, so now I’ll be an emotional blubber, awesome!” Ron rolled his eyes.  He was not very pleased that he will overreact to people talking to him.  Will his emotions get the better of him, will he explode, cry like a baby, who knew, but he definitely was not going to want to see anyone who would test that theory.

“You are right, I don’t want to go all nutters on him, probably just make things worse.”  But still he did want to talk to Harry, he felt guilty about what he had done the day prior.  He deserved it when he punched Ron first, but still Harry was his best mate.  “This Budiger might as well stay comfortable because I don’t know if we can fix this problem so quickly.”
